It’s safe to say that we are all experiencing incredible change right now. I know some more than others. And while there are so many unknowns, there is nothing that our Lord doesn’t already know.
I was watching a video yesterday and they talked about how incredibly perfect our God is in all of His Ways. How He perfectly orchestrated Passover and Easter to coincide this year and above all that, during the time of a deadly plague. Let’s think back to how the Israelites must have been feeling for a minute. A deadly plague was passing over their doorposts of their houses, but they were protected by the blood of a sacrificial lamb.
Tell the whole community of Israel that on the tenth day of this month each man is to take a lamb for his family, one for each household… Take care of them until the fourteenth day of the month, when all the people of the community of Israel must slaughter them at twilight. Then they are to take some of the blood and put it on the sides and tops of the doorframes of the houses where they eat the lambs… The blood will be a sign for you on the houses where you are; and when I see the blood, I will pass over you. No destructive plague will touch you when I strike Egypt. Exodus 12:3-4, 6-7, 12
Doesn’t the same ring true for us? Aren’t we protected by the blood of the one true Lamb? Lamb of Christ. Jesus, our Messiah. Our one true King. The King of kings and Lord of lords. Our Yeshua.
Just how He rescued and saved His People from Egypt during the time of Pharaoh, He will do the same with us now too.
Cling to our Father. Our Abba, Father. Call out to Him. Cry out to Him. He is listening. He is moving. He is working. He is with you right now. Even if you don’t feel Him or hear Him. For the Lord is near to all who call on Him, to all who call out to Him in truth. (Psalm 145:18)
I want to invite you to join me in a specific time of prayer that the Lord would end COVID-19, the Coronavirus, during this Holy Season.
Let us pray:
God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob,
We remember this Passover the deliverance of Your people Israel from the house of bondage with a mighty hand and an outstretched arm. With the blood of the lamb applied to the doorposts of their houses, You delivered the Children of Israel from the plague of death. The deliverance of Israel demonstrated Your power and Your glory to the nations throughout the generations.
Today, we remember Your deliverance and appeal to Your might in our days and at this moment.
We acknowledge our wicked ways before You. We turn from them, and humbly repent. We plead the blood of Jesus (Yeshua), our Passover Lamb, over our sins and the sins of our nation. We beseech You, Lord, forgive us please, for You are ever ready to forgive those who put their trust in You.
With full confidence in Your goodness and Your almighty power, we, Your people, plead the blood of Jesus (Yeshua), the Lamb of God who came to take away the sins of the world, over our families, our households, our nation, and all the nations – Spare us please! Deliver us please! Heal us please!
This Passover we ask that You stretch out Your mighty hand, in the Name of Your Son, to deliver us from and end the plague of Coronavirus that Your healing be made known among all nations.
We ask this that Your Name be glorified and be made known in the world which You have created.
